Kathleen Mary Japerson has filed a $50,000 case against two construction companies. The companies had finished their work but left a dirt pile. Jasperson when riding to work collided with the dirt. She suffered permanent injuries and has undergone two surgeries.

The lawsuit claims Pine Island is liable as they failed to mark the hazard in the road and thus were negligible in their actions. The case will be tried in Goodhue District Court.
