Combi USA has recalled 67,000 baby car seats. They are being recalled because federal tests suggest that the base can separate from the seat in front-end collisions.
Combi USA is offering free retro-fit kits for people that contact the company. This could take 6 to 8 weeks and, until then, the company recommends that people use the car seats without the base. This is safe as the seats are designed for use with or without the base.
The firm said it has received no reports of injuries to date regarding the Centre, Centre ARB and Shuttle Infant Restraints but is still issuing the recall. They want to maintain the public’s trust in the company.
