Cat Bites Boy in British Grocery Store

by Administrator 29. September 2008 00:09
A cat known for hanging out at a local grocery store in England has reportedly bitten a young boy who tried to pet her.  The cat, known as Pebbles, has gotten ornery enough in her old age that the store's owners felt the need to put the equivalent of "Beware of Cat" signs up at the entrance to the store. Pebbles is reportedly a fan favorite of everyone. At the time of the attack, the cat was lying on a pile of wood in the grocery store's foyer. A young boy went over to pet her, supposedly like he always does, and the cat "went after him." The family is now calling for the removal of the cat from the store. The store's owners say they take the safety of their customers very seriously. The RSPCA has been contacted. Man Wandered Home Following Accident

by Administrator 15. September 2008 06:09
An allegedly drunk driver who was involved in a single-vehicle accident wandered home from the accident rather than waiting for police to show up. Witnesses saw the driver's car strike a utility pole near an intersection. The driver then got out of the car and wandered through a number of backyards before making it home. Police followed the trail through the yards before finding the driver lying down on his bed. When police arrived, he was unresponsive but breathing. The individual had injuries that suggested he had been in a car accident. Prior to hitting a utility pole, the car went through at least one yard and struck a parked car. by Administrator 3. September 2008 02:09
Allegations of hazing have caused a 15-year veteran of an Ohio high school to resign. The incident occurred before the start of the school year when a number of girls on the flag squad showed up to a restaurant that had been reserved for the team wearing Depends. During the evening, they apparently all received a "tap on the bottom." from the other girls in the group. The adult member of the faculty that was present filmed the event at the girls' request for their senior DVD. All of the parents were shown the video and reportedly did not have a problem with it. One parent later reported the incident to school officials.
