Malpractice Leaves Girl in Wheelchair

Posted under Uncategorized

A spleenectomy that occurred in June 2007 ended in tragedy when the doctor botched the operation. The patient, a young girl, suffered several internal injuries, causing irreparable brain damage and confining her to a wheelchair.

Dan Rottier took the family's case against the doctor, and on April 15, the family was awarded $17.3 million in damages, the largest settlement in the history of Dane County.
