2 Injured in Fall

Early Sunday morning, a 23 year old Lake Geneva woman fell from a third story window at a Marriott Hotel in Mount Pleasant. The woman climbed onto the edge and fell before she could be pulled back. A man was also injured.

Police responded to the scene at 1:24am to find the woman unconscious but breathing on the ground. The man, who had struck a window, was also outside and was bleeding from the arms. Both were taken to Wheaton Fransiscan-All Saints Hospital for treatment.

Skydiving Mishap Causes Injury

On Sunday, a skydiving accident occurred in Osman during Moosefest. Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels was jumping tandem with a representative of Green Bay Skydivers when a gust of wind from Lake Michigan blew them off course.

The men just missed a large grill that was being used for the event. They landed off target and slid about 40 yards before coming to a stop. One man on the ground sustained a leg injury when they struck him. Mayor Nickels also hit his head in the incident.

Girl Injured in Boat Crash

On Sunday afternoon, two boats crashed on Paddock Lake, sending a 14 year old girl to the hospital. Around 3:45pm, the girl's boat was sitting still to let tubers get in place when another boat hit and sank it.

The girl was taken to St Catherine's Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries. None of the other seven boaters were injured.  They were all under 17 but had proper licensing.

Scaffold Collapse Injures Woman

At State Fair Park in Milwaukee, a scaffold collapse occurred Saturday morning when a strong gust of wind blew it over. The scaffolding holds up a welcome banner at a ticket booth to the fair.

When the scaffolding fell around 9:10am, a woman was struck and injured. She was taken to Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Neenah for treatment. Her injuries were not life threatening.

Child Seat Ejected from Car

On Sunday at 5:12pm, a child safety seat was ejected from a Jeep during a turn. The Jeep was making a U turn at Seventh Ave and 43rd St in Kenosha when the seat flew out.

Both the seat and the 2 year old boy strapped in it landed face down on the pavement. Fortunately, the child did not suffer any serious injuries. His injuries were described as minor abrasions.
