A Wisconsin woman was killed after being struck by a car on February 28, 2011. The car was driven by a fifty-one year-old woman who was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
The driver of the car hit the woman, who did not have any identification with her, and then crashed into a parked car and guard rail before finally stopping after hitting a tree. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. The woman died on the scene of the accident. Police are keeping a watch over the driver at the hospital, and she will most likely be arrested and charged with vehicular homicide once she is out of the hospital.
Drunk driving is a preventable offense that can cause personal injury and death to an innocent bystander. Our thoughts and sympathies are with the friends and family of the victim of this terrible accident.
