A high school teacher at Stevens Point Area High School has been charged with sexually assaulting and exposing himself to a child. The 39 year-old technical education teacher allegedly began sexually assaulting the teenage girl about a month after his wife died last winter. In the past month, the girl says the sexual assaults became more frequent, about once or twice a week.
The man has admitted to his charges and is currently behind bars on $250,000 cash bond. Stevens Point Area High School has put him on administrative leave pending his charges. If convicted, he could spend 83.5 years in prison. His court date is scheduled for next week at the Wood County Circuit Court.
