Parents find newborn baby alive in hospital morgue

Posted under Lake Geneva medical malpractice attorneys

Argentine parents were stunned last week to discover their newborn child was alive after hospital staff declared it stillborn earlier that day. It took the staff nearly 12 hours before they allowed the parents to see their daughter one last time in the morgue’s refrigeration room.

The mother recalls lifting the casket to see her baby’s face when she heard a cry. The child was immediately taken to the neonatal intensive care unit in critical condition. However, reports say she is improving.

The parents have said they plan on filing a medical malpractice lawsuit against the hospital. They say they have many unanswered questions regarding the handling of their daughter and the treatment the mother received prior to delivery. The hospital has suspended five doctors pending an investigation.
