Inflatable pool slide recalled after woman dies

Posted under dangerous product attorney

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall on nearly 21,000 Banzai inflatable water slides after a woman died and two others were seriously injured while using it.

The 29-year-old mother was killed when the slide suddenly deflated, causing her to fracture her neck. A 24-year-old man became a quadriplegic in a similar accident, and another woman also fractured her neck but survived.

Consumers are urged to stop using the product immediately. The Banzai inflatable pool water slides were sold in Wal-Mart and Toys R Us stores from January 2005 to June 2009 and can be returned to any location for a full refund.
