John Leatherwood was rushed to Memorial Hermann Baptist Orange Hospital two years ago when a table saw cut into his hand, causing him severe injuries. After treatment, Leatherwood returned to a doctor in Houston who told him that his hand was infected. Shortly after discovering the infection, doctors had to amputate Leatherwood’s index finger.
Leatherwood claims that the infection that he suffered was the result of negligence on the part of the Orange hospital staff members. After consulting a different doctor in Houston, the second doctor confirmed that the negligent acts of the Orange hospital staff was responsible for his severe infection and permanent injuries.
Leatherwood is seeking damages for physical pain, mental anguish, loss of earning capacity, medical expenses, physical disfigurement, and physical impairment.
