The 2012 Wisconsin Film Festival began this week and will run through Sunday at several Madison-area movie theaters. The festival, presented by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Communication Arts and Arts Institute, features films by local and international filmmakers.
There will be a film for every movie-goer as films this year span various genres, time periods, and countries. International documentaries, indie flicks, local films by local filmmakers, Oscar-nominated dramas, and restored classics will be presented at over eight theaters.
Tickets are only $5 with a valid student ID and $8 without a student ID. Tickets must be purchased at the theater box office before each showing. For more information, visit 2012.wifilmfest.org.
