A seven year-old Tomah boy who received more than 100 stitches and staples to his head, neck, and arms has returned home after spending four days in the hospital following a vicious pit bull attack.
The boy was riding his bike in his driveway when a stray pit bull suddenly attacked and latched on to his neck. His mother was able to fight the dog off and bring her child to safety while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.
According to the boy’s family, the dog roamed the neighborhood and they sometimes fed it. Authorities have since euthanized it.
