A man driving under the influence of alcohol hit and killed a bicyclist on Wednesday, September 25.
The 29-year old victim, Benjamin John Homan, was riding his bicycle along North Montana Avenue around 10:40 p.m. when he was hit by Joel Powers, 49. The latter returned to the scene after he took the car home. He is currently facing four charges, including two felonies, and due in court on September 26.
Despite wearing a helmet and reflective gear, Homan was pronounced dead at St. Peter’s Hospital.
